Returning to the essentials of real, vibrant, unrefined foods that align with the rhythm of nature and the needs of the body is a nutritious and delicious way to enjoy your food.
So what are whole foods? They are foods that are as close to their natural state as possible, meaning unprocessed or minimally processed, free from artificial additives, refined sugars, and synthetic ingredients. They are foods that haven’t been stripped of their nutrients, colour, or soul.
These include;
- Fruits and vegetables in their natural form, skins and all
- Whole grains such as brown rice, quinoa, oats, and barley
- Legumes, beans, and lentils
- Nuts and seeds without added oils or flavours
- Animal products that are pasture-raised or sustainably sourced, without antibiotics or hormones
